Training Opportunities

There are a wide variety of opportunities for utility operators and board members to receive useful and relevant trainings. 

Many of these are FREE and offer required training credit hours.

The list of trainings has been moved to the new Environment Department Event Calendar, powered by Trumba. 

The calendar allows easy access to and a complete listing of all NMED related public events, trainings, meetings, deadlines and more!

This Events Calendar will be the new web location to access Drinking Water Bureau (DWB) or partner sponsored FREE trainings and workshops for public water and wastewater utilities.  Trainings and workshops offered online anytime will continue to be listed on this page below. All other events can be found on the calendar:

  • Find all DWB trainings by typing “SWIG” into the calendar search bar.
  • Find a training by a specific provider by typing their name or abbreviation into the calendar search bar.
  • Includes: Utility Operator Certification Board meetings, public stakeholder meetings and comment periods.

The Drinking Water Bureau provides free trainings through program staff or contractors. Other free trainings are offered through additional training providers.
