The Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA), NMSA 1978, §§ 14-2-1 to -12, embodies New Mexico’s policy of open and transparent government by providing the public with a broad right to inspect public records. For that reason, to avoid unnecessary delay in processing requests, NMED encourages the use of email to submit records requests at this time.
